Sanford Anthony brings a varied mix of fishing with him. He grew up in the Appalachian Mountains of North Georgia, chasing trout on small streams and creeks. These first years gave him a love of the sport and a passion to pursue it for a lifetime. While attending The Citadel, in Charleston, South Carolina he could be found most weekends chasing tailing Redfish or offshore after Marlin and Sailfish.
After college and several years in the corporate life Sanford realized he needed to be on the river and knew the only way to live the lifestyle he wanted was to guide. This led him to Montana where he guided the famed Blackfoot, Missouri, and Clark Fork rivers. This is where his obsession with BIG dries and bigger streamers was born. In his previous summer he decided to head North to Bristol Bay, Alaska. Here he gained experience in the use of jet boats and furthered his knowledge of fishing to include the use of two handed rods and the tactics used to chase the monster trout of Alaska.
His love of adventure has led him here to Chile, where he is excited and eager to expand his knowledge once again while being surrounded by the best waters anywhere in the world. Most nights you can find him hunched over a vise with fishing constantly on the brain.
