Courtney Lockwood

Courtney grew up in Breckenridge, Colorado and was quickly drawn to the mountains and rivers of the Rocky Mountains. He started fly fishing at age seven and has been chasing trout around Colorado and Wyoming for 20 years.

From age 4 his life consisted mostly of the game of hockey, which led him around North America and finally back to the mountains of Colorado where he studied History and played NCAA Division 1 hockey for The Colorado College. His focus in the summers was fishing and hunting trout all over Colorado and Wyoming.

In the summer months, in the USA, he guides on the Upper North Platte and Encampment rivers and feels at home in a drift boat and a raft. He likes fishing big dries and stripping streamers for predatory trout. When not guiding, he can be found behind the tying bench or swinging flies with a spey or switch rod for trout and steelhead.
